What should I look out for?
Ad says good working condition.
It is a Brother and price is £200
Worth a punt I guess,I no nowt about sewing machines but want to start having a go at making bags n stuff.
This guy seems to know what he's talking about (bear with it):
As in most things, try it out first.
Is the belt tight enough?
Are the teeth worn?
Check the oil (unless its already been drained for delivery).
It should have a users manuel and a small selection of tools, maybe some extra feet.
Check out how much a new one costs, check around and see how much comparable 2nd hand ones cost.
If there is little difference, buy new, as spares might be easier to get and you have a guarantee anyway.
