I love it! Three Weetabix, a good smear of butter and some top quality cheddar truly is the food of the gods - when washed down with a large, perfectly brewed cup of tea.

Have been eating Weetabix like this for about 25 years - it used to be a serving suggestion on the side of the box.

Zaskar Rider, I have suffered the same slings and arrows as you. But I look back smugly and take another bite of goodness, knowing that I am on the bright side 🙂

I did as a child, but we were very poor.
Also rice crispies with butter on but it takes ages to do a bowl full..

Remember eating buttered weetabix while biviying on outward bound after a mouse had pooped and then expired in our bag of powdered milk. It was gross

Dripping butties? Yuck. We were given those at nursery school. If you did that now you'd be done for child abuse.

Pah. Buttering Weetabix is for dilettantes and lightweights. Real perverts butter individual Rice Krispies.

Weetabix? Butter? What kind of sickness is this? Weetabix is breakfast, therefore is milk and a bit of honey/sugar. That is all. I feel a little bit sick.

However, as a child I was quite partial to a corn flake sandwich. Or frostie sandwich. ISTR it was Mr Cluck who ate cornflake sandwiches.

One good one i was shown was when youve run out of weetabix to put butter on, you put weetabix on the butter, get a blob of butter and roll it around in the detritus at the bottom of the pack.

You need to do that anyway - to get the crumbs off your plate 🙂

V Strong cheddar cheese on a plain chocolate digestive, if we're talking weird food combos. I fancy my brother still has either ketchup or HP Sauce sandwiches after a night in the pub as well...

Funny. Very funny. But wrong, so stop it.

Dry weetabix, butter or not, is comparable to raw potatoes.

Weetabix and butter... that takes me back!

'Nana sarnies are a fantastic breakfast option when there is nowt else in the house too. Still do that when I am up late for work (so quite often then!)
