One for me son - minecraft/fortnite etc.
I'm not up with the play on gaming machines - this is trending as 'hot'.
Comments please? Or or something else? Also should I be looking at 17"?
Oh and definitely a laptop - as it gets moved around the house quite a bit.
17" is huge to be moving around, and isnt really ideal for use on a lap. To be honest any gaming laptop when running games will generate a lot of heat so will need a desk, lap desk, etc rather than sitting on your lap.
I assume you now that a gaming laptop is a massive compromise compared to a PC - harder to upgrade, more expensive for less performance etc? Given all that, the one you link to looks pretty decent, and you can at least upgrade the RAM and SSD (hard disk).
Sat here with a 17" - might save you a few bucks to get a 15". Spec sounds ok.
Bought ours new some years back I7 4th gen, Geforce GT740, 16gb ram 1tb SSD 1tb HD. Still plays most stuff, but not on max settings which my son moans about now as his gaming pc is far quicker.
That one looks fine, decent graphics card and processor.
You can't carry a 17" in one hand easily, they are heavy compared to a 13" note book or 15" laptop. The bigger screen is nice though.
