I have been going around in circles looking for a loft hatch/ladders. I am after a wooden ladder with handle. Budget up to £250
What's the difference between the £100 and £250 ones?
Is there certain brands to go for/ avoid?
Could someone please put me out of my misery and recommend me a ladder/ hatch?
55cm width, I'd like one that's at least 100cm long.
Experiences/ reviews of products would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Dave
Got mine from Costco. Fitted it myself. Easy enough. Can’t remember how much but not as much as £200.
The kind that sit on the hatch are great. You open the hatch and the ladder is presented to you. I can open it and drop the ladder one handed which is handy if you are carrying something.
I bought a cheap one and the quality is fine. Use it a lot as I keep a lot of work stuff and our camping gear up there, and have done for years and it's still going strong. Not sure what extra an expensive one gets you but I don't miss it.

I got a Fakro one and a youngman one from memory the Fakro one was was easier to fit (the youngman one was difficult to put the springs on) That one nick has looks like the youngman one I got (wickes)

I've fitted a few of the deluxe wooden ladders for a customers in the past and also fitted one at home.
