Anyone ride up Bringewood at all? Been living near and meaning to go explore for a while now but I don't know much about what's up there other than the DH tracks used for the pearce DH rounds etc.

Going to go exploring up there today, anyone shed some light on stuff to ride (don't mind riding up hills) and more importantly where to park? Cheers

There a more gentle XC track that starts from the trig point then goes further west crossing the DH tracks, it looked nice and flowy from the uplift landrover.

Might be a bit late for you, but....

There's some excellent riding at Bringewood. You really need one of the Pearce Cycles guys to show you the best bits. Pop in the Pearce Cycles shop and ask them. They're a friendly bunch.

There's a Bringewood XC loop on the Pearce Website here...

There used to be tons more riding across the road too but I dunno if they've clamped down on it... most of the tracks seem to have been scraped out with a machine into wide flat mud, or they had last time I was up there a few years ago.

EDIT: Just read the route - it does indeed cross the road and takes in some of the best trails from my youth - upper and lower Climbing Jack followed by One-Eye. Sweet 🙂

Had an uplift day there yesterday, the DH runs are so much fun even on a hardtail 🙂 Can't comment on any XC though but it looks like you'll get a lot of climbing in! Conditions are perfect at the minute unless its rained today, was so nice to have a thin dusting on the bike rather than clumps of mud.

There is a quality piece of x-country single track which runs across the mortimer forest side, it starts from the lookout at the top, and ends up in the river valley at the bottom, in my opinion its much better than the Bringewood DH trails. Its alot longer and a bit more flowey! But thats because its not a pure DH trail.

I moved to ludlow about ayear ago, and the trouble is that the trails are so hidden on both side of the road, you defo need some local knowledge to find the good ones, there are little linking sections of DH singletrack all over. Finding them is a different matter.

If you are interested in ride one weekend , let us know.
