Grohe is excellent quality - one of the better brands.

good build quality, good performance.

Having worked at a B&Q, in the showroom department so sold bathroom and kitchen taps, I'd suggest Grohe for the quality and availability of spares further on down the line. However, B&Q do get their own brand taps from a company with reasonable support in the UK - can't remember the name, sorry.

Just got a Grohe shower riser and head (John Lewis I think) and build quality is excellent. Time will tell whether it lasts or not but fitting is sturdy and the hose seems good.

Middle age has descended.

Kitchens Howden's tap 12 months old, leaks, ceramic mixers gone, no replacement. write off.

12 months down the line and obsolete.

Grohe shower thermostat failed, 8 months old. Grohe round quick as you like to repair, service, and extended warranty.

As said above, and if it matters to you, with grohe the spares will be available.

Thanks all.

I'd rather pay more and get peace of mind.....

In terms of brands, any relationship between Grohe and Hansgrohe or completely different companies?
