I had a tin (Ronseal) sat about and needed to paint a windowsill and filling in time whilst I can get some plaster.

It says paint right on or you can prep .. so I stripped, sanded mostly down to an undercoat and put on an undercoat (since I had undercoat lying about).

It says leave 24hrs if you recoat and I was a bit lazy and left the windows open for ventilation and ended up with a few pollen/dust ... as I'd decided to do another coat I wasn't that fussed...

Then ... looked like I might be able to get plaster and thought I'd get on a second coat after <24hrs.(14-16?).. it sanded down OK, its warm and lots of air .. so I figured no harm in another coat?

Brush may have been damp - paint not hard? but this started going wrong very quickly ... parts streaking and as its meant to be put on "thick" I over did that... and as it dried I've got a lovely "cracklure effect" ...

Can't decide ... just strip it now? Leave it to harden and sand?

Hmmm... now I have to wait for it to fully dry... It's not raining so the choice is a speculative 120 mile drive to see if plaster is still at Banbury when I arrive or take a bike out...
