I fancy getting the key for quick usage, but it's asking me to purchase a hire period when I register for the key. Fair enough, but does the period start from now or when the key arrives by post?

When I got mine I paid for the key and one 24hr usage (that was the minimum period when buying a key). The usage period started when I first used the key.
