Red Laser for grabbing barcodes and finding products cheaper online. Works brilliantly on the 4G with the better camera. Found a cd online for £11.99 that was £14 in HMV, for example, and a book for £6.99 that was £12 in Waterstones. If you've got an original DVD then you can get Viewranger and load the disc via wifi, or just get the app and load the maps from the app. Anquet will be releasing their own iPhone app soon, with a Mac desktop version as well. Stanza is worth having for ebooks as well as iBooks, there's iMovie for editing video recorded on the phone.

Oh, and Starwalk is just wonderful if you have any interest in astronomy, the hi-res screen really does wonders for the detail, and the photo of the day feature is excellent.

Google it. Apple have made it a bit of a chore.

Apps - as already suggested plus

Easyreader - good for storing maps, etc
Everytrail - ride logging/mapping but for now don't buy the pro version as it crashes with ios4
Touchmouse
Vlc remote
Met office
Saving private sheep
Fstream (radio)
Psmobile - Photoshop
Tv guide
Tvcatchup.com not really an app but save the bookmark to your home screen - you can watch most of the main channels on it
Iplayer- ditto

Just signed up for TVcatchup, but it says I need to install Flash, which can't be done on a iphone. Am I missing something?
