Has anyone in the Highlands booked their booster online? I'm trying to do this, i'm eligible, i'm logged in correctly and it offers me loads of locations to get my jag but can't find any appointments anywhere, in any location or at any time. Last night when I had a quick look to see what was what, there was a few available but they have now disappeared!
Am I doing something wrong or is the genuinely no appointments available?
We've just been getting invitations via the NHS, no bookings required. I guess that'll change working down through the age groups?

May not be of any use to you - but you can book in any health board area so if you are close to the border with tayside, or aberdeen etc may work; or if you have any reason to be in the central belt the major hubs seem to be ok when I booked.
I'm in borders and booked two weeks ago and earliest was yesterday and it was queued out the door. Mrs 100th tried to book yesterday and gets the 23rd December.

I just tried this and I still can't get an appointment anywhere! It seems bizarre as if the site is down, I can't quite believe that nothing is available
I'm in Moray, booked in no problems to the centre in Elgin.
how far ahead have you looked? Wife thinks 22nd Dec is earliest date at ACVC
Our local surgery is just running an open clinic next week - no appointment needed - in Tobermory.
NHS Highland Facebook is the best place to look. There are drop ins all over and usually quite last minute. One tomorrow in Inverness.

I was able to book one in Inverness (new vaccination centre, Highlander Way) via the NHS inform website, last Saturday. Had it yesterday morning.
The furthest out it shows is 7th Feb 2022 but there are no appointments between now and then, anywhere in Highland
Just go tomorrow if you can as you don't need to book.
I guess it just depends on when they get supplies or have stock to use up.
I booked about 3-4 days ago for the Inverness vaccination centre and got a slot on 18th. There was nothing showing until then. And only looked like the Sat/sun had slots. In the 40-49 category BTW.
The system does seem to be a bit borked.
My GP surgery seems to have allowed your atypical GP receptionist near their social media and website which is littered with passive aggressive comments about NOT PHONING UP AND WASTING STAFF TIME but to wait your turn and to read the info of their website. Trouble is the website is written by an incompetent clearly on a mission to scramble the language and only gets updated once in a blue moon and is now out of date (YOU MUST WAIT 24 WEEKS MINIMUM BEFORE BEING CONSIDERED FOR HAVING YOUR BOOSTER VACCINE - they actually write in caps lock).So they are no use to man nor beast.
And that online system is either not actually being used or every centre has no spaces until when the calendar runs out in February.
I'm within spitting distance of the Moray boarder so might go rogue and investigate options there as they seem to have their shit together.

The online system works fine , it's up to the health board to add capacity. If a letter run has just gone through then there might not be any appointments

They were doing drop ins at Smithton Church. I went about a month ago (but the queue was out the door and down the street) so didn’t even stop. Google highland covid booster (can’t recall I what did but I found the website and what was scheduled for Smithton.
My surgery called up couple weeks back and I’m scheduled for next weekend.

There’s a helpline you can call. Might be worth a try, I found them very helpful.
I had the same experience trying to book an appointment in Inverness, none available. Going to try the drop in tomorrow for over 45's
45min wait but now boosted!
