One for the heating engineers, any ideas would be much appreciated.
We've got an elderly Vokera Option combi boiler, which has just gone on the blink.
It starts to fire up, albeit it takes some time to actually light, then goes into lockout.
It seems to be something to do with the airflow, as if you loosen the front cover, even slightly, it fires up quickly and works perfectly.
Engineer came last week and cleaned fan and associated gubbins, heat exchanger and checked the air pressure switch; all appear to be fine and not unduly bunged up.
Boiler then worked perfectly for a week before starting with the same fault again.
Engineer is now out of ideas and Vokera's tech dept haven't come up with anything else.
It's 13 years old, so it's already probably towards the end of its life, but I'm keen to get another winter out of it if possible.
Thoughts?
Cheers
