Looking a for a multiplier for boat fishing. Budget is pretty low, about £50 - £60.

I guess I don't need a fancy braking system, or will get one for that price, but it would be nice to have some protection from overruns. I guess I could just use the drag?

Haven't used one since I was kid and a few birdsnests back then but I fancy having another play with one.

Any recommendations?

Have a look at fishingmegastore. Lineaffe do some decent budget reels I have used.

Well after a bit of research, went for a Shimano TR200G for £60.

Seems to be the Shimano 105 of fishing reels.

They make them just down the road from my house.

What are you fishing for?

Cod & pollock, basically anything that will take a basic lure or feather.
