My left ear is well and truly blocked and not with wax as its been syringed and its as clear as a bell...
popped ear syndrome !
If I hold my nose and breath out it will unblock but as soon as this is done it reblocks ! Its a pressure thing...
I have tried leaning forward holding nose breathing out etc
Anyone got any remedies that work for them ?
Got this in my right ear canyoning back in April last year. I got water up my sinuses which caused a pressure build up that wouldn't clear. I was deaf for two months. No remedy was available from the doctors. Thankfully it eventually it just went away of its own accord. Lying on the opposite side and yawning sort of helped, a little.
It also suffer from this on occasions so know how frustrating it can be. I got a steroid nasal spray from the doctors which definitely seems to help. For me the trigger was too thorough cleaning of my inner ears whilst in the shower, no cotton buds btw. The combination I've found that works for me is using Sudafed congestion release, the prescribed steroid spray (i can get the same if you like) and olive oil in the ear. Even now it's not perfect but at least I can hear in the affected ear without popping them all the times.
