The wooden guttering on my house needs repainting, and in some places where the wood joins it is leaking.
The next door neighbour used a bitumen pain and his have been fine since. However when I have just googled it some people say do not use bitumen paint on wood.
I've just looked at one bitumen product and it says it can be use on:
* the base of wooden garden posts
* Drainpipes and drainage channels (but doesnt state what material)
The guttering is generally in good nick, so I just thought the bitumen would seal the holes and protect the wood?
Any thoughts, Ta
