Should have asked the people involved, but does anyone know what was being watched across haweswater by men with binoculars this afternoon?

The golden eagles used to nest up on Riggindale but I thought that they had not been seen for a few years.

Strangely “Black Brant” seem to be the most recent rarity.

Eagles went years ago.
There was a foxhunt over there today. Hope they got the bugger.

Yeah. Black Brant goose. Or the Pacific Brent goose.
It's been seen around that area in the last few days.
Is this a wind up?😀

Saw the Golden Eagle years ago when it was just the male left I think.

Yeah coz fox hunting is brilliant. Let's rip apart a native defenceless animal with a pack of hounds...

I thought this was going to some sort of stealth ad for a job lot of binoculars on sale at Planet X then.

Support your LBS (Local Binocular Shop). Don't buy mail order!
