I am though.

One of my regular running routes is down the wee access road to the back of Atlantic house, nice n quiet for intervals.

We had an old ATCO in Atlantic House, well retired now, but he used to own a second property (flat) just down Sherwood road way. Asked him if it’s available to rent short term and his reply was, “naw, I use the place for taking a shite”.

There was an F-35 making very jagged shapes over Norfolk earlier this morning... also found that the key 'U' filters military or 'interesting' activity only!

Pretty suspicious if you ask me. Denver airport's pretty much been shut down, that's the one shaped like a swastika.

All that is doing is showing you were the OS gridlines are. You just need a smaller, lower plane to draw the in between lines.

I have seen a couple or so V22 Osprey flights over the past evenings, usually at about dusk. Coming east from the Hereford direction. Wonder where they have been

Brecon to Brize?

Brecon to Brize

I am not sure where they were going to, but they were almost certainly coming from the general direction of the SAS base near Hereford. Painted dark colour or black with a red stripe round the tail. Flew right over our house at <200 ft up
As they do training in the Brecon Beacons, you might be right

They’re based out of RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk

Wow, actually a U2 over Denmark right now at 60,000 ft !

Was playing around on this site, what fun. If you order the altitude column there's currently something labelled U2 at 60,000ft- but then there's a German thing labelled TWR at 94,000ft...what would that be then...

Descending a bit as it aims towards Stoke - might be landing Fairford so may loop around my part of the world on the way round

I did watch a US KC tanker and an RAF C130 appear to what looked like refueling practice. KC landed at Mildenhall the other night.

Cougar, I posted successfully using Chrome and Windows 10, but the formatting was all over the place. The post window was somewhere up in the right margin.

Cheers.

The formatting was so donald ducked that the edit links were non-functional, I'd to hack forum URLs together to fix it. It didn't occur to me that it was still actually possible to post, I just assumed you had some sort of browser combo that was unaffected by the glitch.

Thanks to those who replied to my question, as you were now.

So come on plane type people, please tell - what can fly at 94,000 ft...it's still showing on there. Is this some sort of unmanned drone nav beacon, too low for a LEO satellite. Maybe its those aliens the'Donald was on about, they're coming people, stay safe, stay alert...

Edit: maybe it's Elon Musk showing off in the A12 he named his baby after....

I did some 'research':

from the CIA website on the AR71-A12 Oxcart:
"....By then, CORONA satellites were regularly launched to collect thousands of images worldwide each year, and although its imagery was less timely and of poorer resolution than that from the A-12 and SR-71, CORONA was safe from anti-aircraft missiles and much less provocative than aircraft overflights."

makes you think etc...

Top Trumps. What's this bad boy, the X37B doing then? First one to spot it wins a prize.

A fast military jet just flew over our house and it ISN'T on the tracker so perhaps the Russians are prowling and this was business not playtime...

The X37B just looks a bit naff like it was cobbled together out of spare bits and gaffer tape in some backroom by out-of-work and bored ex space shuttle engineers. Now the SR71 & X12...they were proper bits of kit, proper badass.

I live pretty close to LBA, and have seen quite a few random military aircraft over the last few weeks, but the best of all was a Red Arrow doing a fast fly past then "giving it some" up the Wharfe valley towards Ilkley, wonderful stuff to see.

Awacs out over North sea atm, a favourite of mine in an 'it shouldn't really work' kinda way. 🙂

Completely different job descriptions - the X37B is basically a space-going Transit, a pint-sized space shuttle doing routine ground-space operations with a variety of science and military projects autonomously. The SR71 was an ultra high-speed spook ship based on an ultra high-speed interceptor.

Been watching a A400 doing touch and goes at Mildenham, 3 large circuits, now doing smaller ones. The first passed right overhead.
Must stop watching and do something.

Looks like there’s something of interest in Kalingrad with signals gathering aircraft having a look from either side for the last few hours

Lots of private aircraft 'p1ssing' about in the North West - i.e. joyflights (just meandering flightpaths). I few IOM flights, some cargo.

That website is immense. Far more interesting than all the things I should be doing. Can now see the route the Airlines takes from Heathrow going West and how surprisingly busy little airports like Gloucester are.

I wonder what the C130 flying at 150feet over Hereford might be doing 😉

There's a C-17 Globemaster currently training out of Wittering (until Friday, I think). It went pretty much over our house yesterday.
