I have an interesting problem, old ipod is full of music, that I no longer have as sold CD's on ebay about 6-7 years ago. Laptop its originally synced too has gone pop badly. External harddrive has also died. So only copy of about £1500 worth of music is on Ipod.
How can I retrieve this onto new laptop, so I can then make a new backup.
I know I could search Google for the answer but need to make sure it will work so I dont lose anything in the transfer.
I used iDump.... Seems OK with a 7 day free trial
Check out iTunes match for backing up too.
ipodrip works well
copies everything from the ipod in to a new itunes library
