Anyone else getting big blue and white circles with a black cross on obscuring msot of the screen when trying to read threads? I've not clicked on the cross in case it is dodgy.

Yup, seems to sometimes appear when you open a topic.

I would assume its just a particularly annoying pop up add.

It popped up for a second on the forum homepage, then disappeared.

Its a giant version of the X on the advert at the bottom of the screen.

How many people are needed to pay a monthly fee just for the forum to be advert free? Apparently not a lot but how many?

Are you suggesting that everone should get ad free access to the forum because some of us choose to support the business that provides it?

I'll give you a chance to clarify before I give you my reaction.

dickbarton - I'll add to tthew's post above; have you read the 'Ways to Help' at the top of the page?
Here it is https://singletrackworld.com/donate/
There is also a sticky 'A direct appeal from Singletrack'.
You've been a member since 2009 so you've been happy to use the forum for 11 years without providing any support - unless, of course, you buy from the onlineshop.
If you don't want to see ads, become a subscriber.

No, I'm asking if there is a way to pay a fee so that more people take it and adverts are no longer needed. We keep hearing that the ads are because enough people don't pay. I've no interest in the mag but would be happy to pay for the forum (as I use it)...but I can't find a forum-only option...hence my question (which has been asked by others over the last few years as well)...
I've been a member since 2003...subscribed then stopped and did a few online subscription s over the years...

but I can’t find a forum-only option

There is a forum only option. Pay for a P and don't read the mag if you don't want to. Nobody will force you to - theres no test afterwards to check you've paid attention (at least I hope there isn't)

We have a sticky thread for forum feedback. Please use it then we can keep everything in one place.
