I've just done this on a whim, and while I fully expect to get outbid, there is only 40mins left and I'm still the highest bidder.

Is it just me who does stupid things like this?

Used to do this with a mate, eBay roulette if you will. Has to be something you dont want or need. Eventually gave up when I won a knackered old coffee table I didnt want.

Essentially that's what I am doing. I kid myself that if it goes wrong, I have got a bargain.

There should be a random item button on eBay, like random article on wikipedia. For pure random purchase roulette.
