Straw poll.

Thought this would be an interesting thread to have on here to supplement the other thread. But since this is a forum that is pan uk(and beyond) I think along with your vote you should mention: where you are, and if you get a vote or not.

So I'll go first.

I'll vote Yes.
I live in Scotland.
I have a vote.

Unless someone's going to keep count, wouldn't it be better to setup a survey or summit?

No, but hey, if thats what they want, I'm not going to stop them
I live in England
I can't vote but since they can vote to stay in or go out, i think we should be able to also vote to see if we will let them stay or send them packing.

I live in England.
I really couldn't give a toss either way whether Scotland goes independent or not.
And I don't think you realise that the vast majority of English people also couldn't give a toss either way.
I rather think that Scottish people are being very helpfully distracted from real issues by this discussion when they should be concentrating on quite serious issues which will affect their livelihoods.

yet here you are aP once again, casting your vote anyway, getting all excited and taking part in yet another thread about Scotland, telling everyone how much you don't care.

You're like that kid at school who's obsessed with the class hottie but pretends he hates her, but somehow always ends up following her around anyway ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you get a hardon everytime you see a thread about Scotland?

I think it would be a great shame to let go several hundred years of mutual co-operation in the name of Independence.

Can't see Yes vote having an answer to EU entry or a currency so I think it's a non starter. Poor plan. But I would like them to stay part of UK

I think they should gain independence, but only after moving the border to just south of Manchester.

Freeeeedooooom from the oppressive yoke of Westminster but for Yorkshire only. Who cares what Scotland want or even England, Wales and NI.

We do not need a currency union with the rest of the UK, you can keep your pound.

The no vote don't have an answer for EU membership either, and only a half assed answer on currency.

I was undecided but the vitriolic nature of the NO campaign has convinced me Scotland would be better off on their own. Unfortunatly it is the same style fear based campaign that worked to prevent voting reform.

Yes, and I have a vote. The problem with the survey is it doesnt split out the results into two charts, the ones who can vote and the ones who cant.

So far I make it:

Can vote
Yes 6
no 5

Cant vote
Yes 2
No 6

and a few that I cant work out.

Think we are stronger together and I think Scotland might struggle to get voted into the EU by any Euro country with an internal region fighting for similar independence.
