wait for it..
it's worth it
I don't want to wait - tell me.
can't... load it, put in the town where you grew up
[edit and just watch]
You need to have Google Chrome for it to work. (although might be wrong there)
impressive
It kinda works in other browsers, but it was painfully slow and lost half of the animation for me. I'd say it needs Chrome, otherwise it's not worth looking at.
Great idea.. however the streets in which I grew up are a twee 80s housing estate, on a lovely sunny day, so it's completely out of character with the song and the movie!
That's pretty rad, even though it never actually manages to find my house!
Hmm, I had no idea the place I grew up in looked like that. Don't remember it at all!
Pretty cool. Worked in Firefox for me.
you can sort of play with the birds when you are waiting for it to load.. 🙂
It "worked" in Firefow for me too. Then I played it in Chrome and saw all the other bits that FF didn't play properly (but I hadn't realised cos they weren't there).
v good that. Except it reminded me what a shit hole Wembley is.
Worth waiting for the trees at the end!
Okay that is quite beautiful actually and worth the wait.
I'm not quite sure what the point of it was, (go back to your youth and enjoy life?) but I loved it, really good use of Chrome, and the artsy side of it was great. More please!
Really liked that, bit clever wasn't it.
I love Arcade Fire too.
I really enjoyed that, it did bring happy childhood memories back for me ( I haven't lived there for 20 odd years now)
At the risk of sounding grumpy, that did absolutely nothing for me whatsoever. For a start, whatever town it showed looked nothing like it, neither then nor now ... plus it just seemed pointless.
it's clever, rather than brilliant
if you've ploughed through Google Chrome or Google Earth looking at pictures of all your old addresses, it's nothing new
not a bookmark
I think the point is the execution of a web-based experience is clever rather than looking at pictures of where you were born - the concept behind bringing the music and the memories together is what makes it work.
+1 MF. It certainly hit home with me when I watched it.
What message, if any, did people write to themselves?
Superb - very clever but beautiful too.
Fantastic. Really liked that.
looked poop in safari. brought back shit memories
1/10
The tree sprites were ace.
Didn't recognise where I was born, so worrying rather than uplifting (I think the bit shown has been totally rebuilt since I was last there - off to google maps to check!)
That is very cool & very clever, forgotten what a nice street I first lived in!
That was awesome! Worth downloading Chrome for too.
thats really nice, brought a tear to my eye hadn't seen the streets i grew up in for a long long time
I liked that. A lot.
Bazzing.
I love it!
Agree, loved it.
THe place I was born no longer exists so this might be a bit pointless
My street looked pretty much like it does now.
Good.
Is your name actually Travis?
clever, but didn't bring back memories. mainly because my parents still live there so I go back pretty frequently.
yes, it is actually my name
It's HTML5. Chrome is the most compliant HTML5 browser out right now therefore elements will be missing from other browsers, or fail completely. Hey, if it gets people on Chrome I'm all for it.
THe place I was born no longer exists so this might be a bit pointless
Were you born on Krypton?
The same guy did this interactive Radiohead video for House of Cards.. using laser scanning.. no video cameras

so what would you recommend?
can-uk
That's cool too, I like the way you can move around the head
This is the best thing I have seen for some time:
