I need to go and sift through all the old tat i left there many moons ago.

Bet it's been thrown out along with most of my old trophys.
Though I think they've still got my ISDE medals.

RWC 97 Tonga v Samoa, for the Sipi Tau v Sivi Tau and having lunch with some of the Samoan players the day before.

The Olympics. Even just being in the park was amazing, the noise coming from the stadium as I was walking past it (it was one of the nights that Jess Ennis was in there on her way to heptathlon gold) and the roars from the crowd combined with the general atmosphere in the park were really spine-tingling.

And being track centre in the velodrome as the women's team pursuit squad broke the WR in qualifying and then again later the same day for the gold medal. Wow.

Senna winning at Donington Park in 1993. Incredible drive.
Barry Sheene winning at Oulton Park diving underneath Steve Baker going up Bray Hill - absolutely stunning move.

I've seen hundreds of games at Anfield and would have to say for drama the Champions League game against Olympiakos 2005 takes some beating with Gerrards wonder strike. Also loved the semi-final against Chelsea too for drama.

I found the Olympics to be really inspirational throughout; starting with the opening ceremony which I thought was great

It would have to be the 2000 IOM TT F1 race though, won by Joey Dunlop who was aged 48 at the time. Unfortunately 2000 was his last year on the Island.

I was at Hawkstone as well, in practice Dave Thorpe had a go at the double and cased it, didnt try it again. Mark Banks also wrecked a CR125 trying to jump the bombhole ๐Ÿ˜ฏ went back to the van and got a new one out. Was a fantastic weekend.

Poland was my mates Aluns last ISDE.

I think it was Phil Larson that was the first to clear it.
We were stood the other side of the footbridge and you could see him in the air higher than the bridge. ๐Ÿ˜€
A mate of mine ripped the back end of his Maico ever jumping it at a club meeting a year later. ๐Ÿ˜†

Bloody hell, I was at Hawkstone at the bomb hole as well in 84 what a small world. My most memorable event was the 1995 RAC Rally, Sainz vs McRae for the WRC. Drove up to Kielder in the middle of Sunday night then biked into a spot where the stage looped round to see the cars twice. There was only 3 or 4 spectators as it was so remote, together with a handful of marshals. McRae comes into sight with a puncture, pulls over and yours truly helps with the the wheel change with Colin and Derek Ringer. The car was stopped for less than 2 minutes and he then proceeded to reel Sainz back in stage by stage, winning the rally and WRC by 30 odd seconds, I was there on the last bend of the event as well.

I was in the Olympic Park watching the Mens Keirin on the big screen when Sir Chris won which was quite special.

My favourite(s) though were when we used to go to the F1 qualifying in the late eighties/early nineties when it was just a single hour session and they would go out with super sticky tyres and everything turned up to 11. The Senna/Mansell/Prost battles in the last five minutes were incredible! The cars had the perfect balance of too much power and just enough grip!

Nou Camp 1999, right in the corner for both the Teddy & Solskjaer goals. Magic.

Also fluked front row tickets for final day of 5th Ashes test at Oval 2005.
The banter between the crowd and McGrath/Warne was fantastic. Warne became a true hero in my eyes that day.
''We only wish you were English!''

Tear Up MMA in Bristol this time last year - in particular the 90kg Pro fight.

Incredible display of pure athleticism, fantastic technique from both fighters, utterly brutal fight but at the end, still shook hands like gents, despite having torn each other to bits.

Saw Botham score 175 not out in 27 overs in a one day county game in '86.
He hit thirteen sixes and twelve fours ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Once the Northants innings started then it p*ssed it down, the game was called off and we shared the points ๐Ÿ™‚

We were in the Olympic Stadium the morning Richard Whitehead won his 200m Paralympic gold - last after 100m, won by what looked like 5m at the end. 80,000 people went nuts.

Same session, in the 1500m, one runner from Djibouti came in 5 minutes after everyone else - 80,000 roared him round the whole time. Probably the best ever display of "It's not about winning" that my kids will ever see.

And I was at Old Trafford when Beckham scored the free kick against the Greeks that sent us to the World Cup. It was an amazing atmosphere/moment. (Lets just forget that he missed the first dozen attempts....)

Any race at the 1985 IOM TT - mainly just because it was the TT and I was there! But also because of Joey Dunlop's first TT treble. After he'd dropped his original bikes in the harbour too. IIRC he was trying to save money by bringing them on a fishing boat. That was the rumour at the time anyway.

Closely followed by the 1990 RFU County Championship final when Cornwall beat Yorkshire at Twickenham in extra time. ๐Ÿ˜€

Liverpool - AC Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul - a mate got 2 tickets via the uefa draw. 3 nil down @ half time and still won. Highlight for me was Dudek's save from Schevchenko.

Ok not a sport event but queued overnight in Bristol to get tickets for the original Live Aid. Highlight of the event was a very loud rousing chorus of "get your tits out for the lads" directed at Whitney Houston! Queen weren't bad either!

But personal highlight was Swindon 4 Leicester 3 to get into the premier league. Best game of footie I've ever seen!

Oh and not forgetting countless Stranglers gigs!!!!! Assuming Hugh Cornwell and JJ Burnel stuffing bananas up gobbing fans' bums counts as "sport"

Many m/c memories, as others have:

1984 Sheene's last win - Olivers Mount

1986 Le Mans 24hr bikes, snowing at 2am

And

1981 Headingley Test, on the Friday ๐Ÿ™‚

Also remember the last year of Group B, ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
And then the first year of its replacement ๐Ÿ™„

2000 TT - Joey's last...

'93 playoff semi 2nd leg SUFC V Forest at Bramall Lane.

Only Blades fans (and to be fair, most footy pundits) will appreciate this, but it was a true classic nontheless.

Shame we always fail to replicate that sort of spirit in the finals ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

@singlespeedstu. I was an outrider for the Scots team in Poland. Fantastic event and the locals looked after us like we were superstars. The speeds and nonsense that we got in to between stages ,trying to stay ahead of our riders was nuts. Happy days ๐Ÿ˜€

The 1972 World Speedway Final at Wembley.
An NHL game between Calgary Flames & Colorado Avalanche in 2000.
The 1973 RAC rally, 1st car I ever saw was a mk2 Escort coming at me sideways on a sharp left hander. It was red with COSSACK in black letters on the side. Roger Clark was driving it & it sounded awesome.
The Scottish Six days Trial, every year.

Three spring to mind for me:
1. 88 Wimbledon semi-final. Edberg v Mecir and Lendl v Becker. My mum took me out of school to go as she said these opportunities don't arise often. Long day standing and the second game didn't get finished due to rain and eventually the light. I was a Becker fan but was blown away by how good Mecir was, despite blowing a two set advantage.

2. 91 second leg play-off final against Millwall away at the old den. It was a midweek game and went up with my mum. The atmosphere was really hostile (although trouble free) and we came away 6-2 on aggregate. I remember the Millwall fans burning their programs on the terraces at the end and the police keeping us in until they had cleared the area. The final at Wembley is best forgotten though.

3. MotoGP in Mugello in 2006. Glorious scenery and weather, amazing track, a Rossi win, an all Italian podium and a crazy partisan crowd.

Rangers v Dynamo Kiev in 87. Great atmosphere that night.
1st Day of the Ashes Test at the Gabba in 02. Something a bit different.

Fantastic event and the locals looked after us like we were superstars.

I remember changing money with a dodgey geezer in our hotel and drinking Rusian champaigne in the local club.
At the exchange rate he was giving us we couldn't spend it fast enough. ๐Ÿ˜†

We also "aquired a pot of official marking paint" from a lad that was doing the frame, silencer, engine marking. Some of it got used on a Trophy Team riders bike. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Think it cost 20 Benson and Hedges. ๐Ÿ˜†

I bet i know some of the lads you were outriding for.

Ditto the sentiment towards folk that have never experienced the atmosphere of a fully charged footy grudge match, yet cast aspertions towards it.
