Pure geekery, this, but I've always had a thing for C&C every so often. The last one I played was Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars 3, which was all round pretty good. However, I hear C&C:4 is sucky in the worst way.
Soooo... having trawled through some reviews, it seems Supreme Commander 2 isn't as good as it should be. Company of Heroes was pretty good (played it and the expansions); Starcraft 2 has good reviews.
So what would the stw recommend?

i think once called ruse was meant to be quite good. never played though.
