I'll be honest, I have respect for the man who has strength enough in his convictions to pit a Mk2 Escort against a Ferrari in the looks stakes. You're wrong in the head, but I admire your integrity 🙂

Hmm, the Ferrari 246 would be my first choice too.

Used to watch them race up Shelsley hill climb as a kid.

I know they got quite a bit of flack for not being a true Ferrari in some peoples eyes, but its such a pretty shape from all angles.

my dad's Big Healey 3000 (BJ7 I think) comes in my top choice as well, although I dont have any good photos of it at the moment, only insurance ones. Its also had a few changes made to redturn it to original spec.

[img] [/img]

although these photos are of the BJ8 that we hired for his birthday a few years ago are a bit better. One at the bottom has my brothers spitfire behind it.

There are many (including the Brera) however for simplicity, fluidity and poise the Barchetta (with steel wheels) wins hands down

Is Hora not actually very well? Maybe he's been boxing already, and sustained brain-damage.

My faves are the Citroën, the Aston Martin, the Lancia, Ferrari and the Jag XK120. All stunningly beautiful cars.

I also love these:

And check out this beauty!

Arent we mixing memories and experience with what should be a decision based purely on how a car looks?

I had a Mk1 Mexico which I thought was great and even though I like the look of them and they bring back memories its not up their with the worlds most beautiful cars.

Hmmm, forgot the Daytona. Also Maserati Ghibl, Lancia Beta Monte Carlo.

BMW M3 may have been an excellent car, as was the Quattro, but surely even their own mothers couldn't call them beautiful! Same goes for ANY Escort!

Without a shadow of a doubt the Citroen DS imo. And not least the rather stunning if somewhat unpractical "decapotable" version :

[img] [/img]

It would still not look out of place amongst modern day cars - not bad for a car designed over fifty years ago 😯

Also, as much as I find it wrong somehow, I see dozens of Astons every day and they still do it for me.
(I also have a guilty inexplicable soft spot for the Z3 M Coupe)

Alfa Romeo Montreal two votes so far, stunning and understated, and just beautifully put together for an Italian exotic.

Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, well and truly ripped off by Lyons for the e type.

road going stratos, all the snarling aggression and pace of a testarossa or countach, but with the agility and nimbleness of an x-19 or mr2

ISO grifo, muscla and grace, gorgeous car.designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who designed the 250 gto, who claims the ISO was the improved gto, that ferrari wouldn't let him build.

original De Tomaso Pantera, before it copped for all the boy racer spoilers and body kits.

Oscar India AM v8, again before all the body kits and airdams ruined the lines completely.

69 Dodge charger

69 Mustang fastback

too many others depending on my mood

I have to agree with Brant I'm afraid. I've seen an Alfa SZ near me a couple of years ago. Not to eveyones taste but looks wild in real life, nothing else like it.

One I like is the Jaguar XJ220. Looks amazing in real life, lower and longer than in pictures. More aerospace in some ways.

I rate the Detomaso Pantera pretty highly:

[img] [/img]

And the F1 is pretty nice in a restrained way:

[img] [/img]

As a kid I always wanted this, and still like it despite its outlandish nose:

[img] [/img]

And I quite like:

solamanda, I would have to agree about the F40...

Other cars that look amazing, when seen on the road are...

Porsche GT and Ferrari F50s, usually seen on the M40!

and a Gumpbert Apollo on Edenfield Bypass!

There are some pretty minging choices on here so far, i love Subarus but quite rightly how can one ever be considered a good looking car? De-Tomaso Pantera yes but could you have picked a worse picture lol Lamborghini Miura yes yes especially the roadster of which there is only one.

I have no idea what a F40 LM or standard F40 is. But judging from that red monstrosity you've posted immediately after this statement, it can't be very nice. That red thing - ugly as sin. it's got all holes all over it too. Corrosion?
