Just been offered a Berlingo van, few questions..

Can you fit bikes in there without taking front wheel off?

Best way of supporting bikes inside?

Any think to look out for when buying one? (I'm looking at a 04 plate with 87k miles)

Any advice welcome

Paul

Could you get it in straight or did it have to go diagonal?

It is the van version

hi

right as no-one else for a Berlingo CAR

1 - with the 1 person rear seat down two bikes, with front wheels out down side - easy
2 - rear seats out, two bikes (Orange 5 16 and Myka 13" diagonal) easy
(*not sure how van will be be as it has a seperator presumably) fixing - car has good stap points - so I put a cushion between bikes and pull across other bike from side so bikes are pulled together

Car version 05. Last weekend
with wife sitting in single back seat packed in her bike and childs whole at angle and FS with wheels off- plenty of room.
I use a Delta van bar with 2 QR and a DIY 20mm bolt through effort.
Get three in all bolted still easily with seats down.
Usually I flip back 2 seats and roll one bike in, takes seconds.

Bikes go in no worries, just need to turn handlebars slightly or poke wheel down the side of the seat. Then bungy to the side. My bikes in there more often than not and I can sleep on the other side.
Just dont go getting in any races you dont want to lose

I have a berlingo, car now but had the van too, the car fits 2 bikes in the back without taking the wheels off, in my bling i have removed the double seat in the back, mainly to fit my trials motorbike, i can now fit 3 bikes and 3 people, but the wheels have to come off.
