frenchie, the overwhelming opinion at the Yard was that here was a man who cried "RACIST!" whenever possible and used that to advance his career way beyond his ability. He was, and has now been proved to be, hell bent on one thing and one thing only - Himself.

There'll be a few happy faces in some of the pubs up the road from me tonight, not least from the black and asian coppers who have played the game properly and have seen him promoted above them as the top brass were afraid of his cries of racism. Those officers have missed out because of a crook. Good riddance to him. Hope he drops the soap a lot.

I would think that there are champagne corks popping at The Met today. A lot of people have known for a long time that he was dodgy, today Capone got done for his tax returns.

Coppers are just the kids at school that were either:

a) bullied
b) grasses to the teachers
c) crap with girls

or

d) all of the above

People who hate coppers were usually:
a) bullied at school by future coppers
b) grassed up future coppers at school
c) had their birds nicked by future coppers, at school
d) got done for speeding, whilst talking on their mobiles

if you think our coppers are bad try abroad. I will never forget being sold drugs by a copper * whilst wondering if he was then going to arrest me for possesion and then demand a bribe for my freedom...whatever our coppers do [good and bad like in every occupation] they could never get that bad.

i think our coppers are very good to be honest.
and very brave to take on a job where they do not seem to have a lot of power anymore. the pc brigade have seen to that.
but this bloke played the game and got caught.

Mmmm, well when I have a positive experience of the police perhaps I'll change my mind. And, no, I've never been arrested nor have a criminal record. I'm sure there are plenty of good coppers, just seems that the ones I've come into contact with are ego maniacs on a power trip.
