yesterday i walked into HMV and, while checking nobody heard me, uttered the words "where is the country section?"
In my defense, it was to buy this
But still.... country?
Fess up then? you old bastards
Did my C&W phase between the ages of 13 & 14, before discovering the Chicago blues sound. Listened to some awful cr@p but also discovered the likes of Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and some classic bluegrass acts.
Seem to have come full circle now - Old Crow Medicine Show are one of the best bluegrass bands I've ever heard.
Quite liking that link!

That isn't a defense, its horrible Grandad! 😉 OCMS are great though, 'Wagon Wheel' is my most played song on iTunes at the moment.
My unwanted milestone would be finally having to shave every day.

It's normal practice to code posts like this with:

Shows people you're not being an arse
And of course you are absolutely right: these are milestones, not benchmarks

Well i did this downloading thing recently and was a bit underwhelmed by the 'Value'.
I had no choice but to download the music as I didn't have time to go to the shop and wanted the tunes.
On CD I can get the double CD - 1 CD of original album and 2nd CD of extended / special mixes for £10. To download just the original album was £12.
Think I'll stick to CDs.
No longer listening to Radio 1, or having a clue as to who any of the artists are of the current tunes that the younger generation seem to play all the time.
And no longer getting flyers for trendy clubs thrust into my hands on a Friday or Saturday night anymore.
I am conflicted when it comes to my education - I studied a mixture of Finance, Economics, Politics and Law and it has enriched my life. On the otherhand, I am now cynical, unimpressed by greed, brute-like behaviour and vapidness... and don't get me started on the so called "War Against Terrorism". Ignorance is bliss.

LOL! I'm 32 and work in a university - there are loads of these guys and I can see their minds working as I approach, some kind of half hold the flyer out then withdraw it.. only a matter of time 'til I don't get a look in!
Mine would be buying a pannier bag and rack for commuting this year.
no regrets just good and bad memories, ive never thought to myself god i wish i hadn't done that, still only 26 plenty of time to go!

you know your when your still paying for music...
I've always liked Country and folk music. Ive also always liked classical, heavy metal, dance/house etc etc.
There are no benchmarks that I regret. Even the first time I dragged my car 2inches against the drive gate post this morning (a first parking ding on any car Ive owned)- who cares? Live with no regrets.
Getting annoyed when I realise I've used the wrong "your"/"you're"
