Might buy one, Currys near me is doing a Delinghi 2600 for a tempting £220 (apparently was £350)
But, before I part with the cash, how often do you empty the grounds from them and is there any "faff" I should know about other than filling it with water and beans, put a cup under, press a button, some noise is made and 30 seconds later ( hopefully) lovely coffee fills the cup up

wow. I have a stove top, and splashed out a mega £35 to get a proper bialetti one, and even then I was standing like a **** for about 15 mins trying to decide if it was worth it...

That is pretty much it:
Beans and water in.
Coffee, grounds and the contents of the drip tray out.
Some cleaning every now and again.
Do you have to empty the grounds after every cup or every 10 cups?

I have a delonghi magnifica and it is great!
As an aside, Lidl recently had (and might still have) a reasonable deal on 1kg packs of Lavazza Cremoso beans @ £9.99; makes a perfectly acceptable brew in my AeroPress.
I've got a Perfecta 5600. Quote pricy but was a present about 3 years ago & is still going strong. Empty the grounds container when it tells me to, once or twice a week.
Took maybe half an hour to programme it to my preferred strength and volume, water hardness etc but that's a one shot deal. Fill the water tank, few scoops of beans in the top and press the magic button. That's it.
Occasionally it tells me to clean and de scale it, and every few weeks I clean the drip tray. It's useful to keep a cup on it under the nozzles as during its startup/shutdown cycle it rinses itself & that water would otherwise go into drop tray.
It's more hassle cleaning the milk jug if you want to use it, to be fair it dies make a pretty good latte for the afternoons.

Well impressed. Perfect coffee without the faff after about 5 to get it right.
Happier pushing the one cup button twice rather than the two cup once as its a bit weak on the 2 cup setting. Needs 2 cups to make a proper mug full too.
Yeah - never use the 2 cup button if you have a magnifica - you just get weak coffee!
I bought a barly used DeLonghi Magnifica 3200 at our local car boot for £10.00. The guy was selling some stuff for his neice who was married to a 'rich bloke' and was always buying new gadgets 🙂 I cleaned out the spider and it works great ??

That might get you a decent tamper/barista apron combo. Just depends how seriously you take your coffee....
Yep I've got a Jura here and I wouldn't like to buy a new one...
good machines are pretty expensive.....
I've had some cheap beans from lidl/Aldi which make a great coffee.....
I couldn't do instant ever again........
