I'm thinking about spending a month in Barcelona round about July time.
I'll be renting/sharing an apartment
Can anyone recommend a good area to be based in.
I'm more interested in being surrounded by music and art than touristy stuff.

have you thought of girona instead? not far from barca and likely to be cheaper and less full of tourists?
