The National - My daughter, who has superlative tastes in music for a teenage girl, has got me into these guys. Six albums in over the last 13 years, and I've just got to know of them!

I don't know who I've never heard of, because I've never heard of them.

There are known unknowns...

Mogwai for me I think, I've been into them for a few years now but they never made the slightest impression til one day, bing! Realised they are incredible.

Alot of bands really. I discovered Social D well over 10 years ago, yet they'd been around for long before then!

I've just started to listen to a bit of Brian Jonestown Massacre. Not sure how I've missed them until now.

The Tea Party. never really made it over here. Amazing Canadian band but now sadly defunct. Cross between Led Zep and the Doors.

Recently discovered Band of Skulls (supported QotSA the other week) who I've somehow managed to overlook for the last decade.
