my wife deliberately wanted our son to have a name that was more unusual, she was one of 7 claires at school and hated it. I think if a kid has a good outgoing personality they'll be fine.

Call your kid 'Zovirax' regardless of gender. At least when they have been bullied all to hell because of their stupid name, they will have a fitting moniker for a vengeful super villain. cold sores will have been eliminated by the time they are old enough to be properly evil so don't let that put you off.
