Whats the best software for doing this conversion and creating the DVD file structure?
Cheers
Been using DVD Flick for a while. Does a good Job and is freeware.

Nero Vision can do the conversion and the file menu too, but its very slow.
Windows Movie Maker is more than capable of handling AVIs - provided Windows Media Player can play it (right codecs) it seems to be able to write it to DVD.
I use Avi2Dvd which does a nice quality job (little clunky though).
DVD flick is great. Converts multiple formats to DVD and you can even specify how many chapters to make etc.
My DVD player plays AVIs 8)
