Soooo, I'll see your off topic post, and raise you a ....

Mrssmudger (honest) is keen to get an ice cream maker that doesn't need the bowl frozen - been there, done that, disappointed.

no no no . if your serious you will use liquid nitrogen. which after looking at MrNutt's beautiful suggestions will also be the cheap option
