I prefer non fiction books but open to suggestions.
Defo no sci-fi.
love a good story whilst out walking the dog.

Part way through the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins at the moment. Quite intense in comparisom to the Harry Potter series. Got a "Brief History of Time" next. Makes the commute home more pleasurable 😆

I first listened to this driving the car, fantastic story, really surprised that I liked it. Listened to a few others of his now and I really enjoy his style of writing. The Ansi Boys and Stardust were excellent as well.
Neil Gaiman reads most of them as well and does all the accents which was a bonus. Lenny Henry reads The Ansi Boys
The Michael Palin series is strangely adictive 😆
Bill Bryson's "a short history of nearly everthing"
another alternative is podcasts, choose a genre that interests you and the bonus is they are all free. i enjoy "stuff you should know"
I know you said non-fiction, but 'No.1 ladies detective agency' books by alexander mccall smith are good.
Also, check out librivox.org for free audiobooks - books outside copyright read by volunteers. Mostly classics, but lots of non-fiction stuff on there too.
Some of the readers are a bit dodgy. Karen Savage is a really good reader; it is worth searching for her by name and picking stuff she's done.
