I have a key for the Boris Bikes in that London and wanted to use one the other night. When I found a bike park, I put my key in but it wouldn't work and remembered that my card had been replaced after it was cancelled after some incorrect transactions the bank found. "Fair enough," I thought - "no problem - I'll use the newly launched casual user option. Sweet."

All was fine - I was able to make my journey quickly across London (I was in a rush!)

I've gone to update my card details today, only to be told (and this is what I'm amazed by...) YOU CAN'T USE THE SAME CARD NUMBER ON YOUR MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNT IF IT HAS BEEN USED FOR ANY CASUAL USE. No - not even blimin' once!!!

WHAT ON EARTH????? WHY???

What am I supposed to do now?? Get a new debit card from the bank just because TfL have a mentalist in the IT department?????

Probably some bright spark's way of avoiding fraud.
