I think it's a generation thing. The young, hip and switched on people generally keep up with these kind of things.

So CFH has seen one guy in that London ironically wearing ear muffs and now the whole country is affected?

I'm more than happy to use muffs to keep my ears warm!

It's probably the same switched-on hip young things who thought wearing pastel coloured cardigans were cool. I wear a wool wide brimmed hat with flip down ear flaps and forehead warmer. Mmmm, toasty ear'oles.

CFH I made a lovely scarf actually. ( I really did do some knitting, I study fabrics remember?) . Yeti, seems like it, she was lovely over xmas and actually suggested we go to the cottage to get away for a bit.

LOLing at merkin

"ironically" wearing ear muffs? Don't think it's ironic mate. It's those awful 'behind the head' ones, too. They're all the rage over here, look gash.

I always thought that 'muffs' were those things that ladies placed their hands into when riding the carriages during chilly weather, in the olden days, you know like a tube made out of fur.

Did see a lot of the young trendy male skiers wearing woolly hats with big bobbles on top over the Christmas jollies. That looked a bit naff too.
