Get a Seiko of your liking and stick a nato/Zulu strap on it. Holes are very close so you can get a very good fit no matter what size wrist you are.

As mentioned above, pick a Seiko. STW stock answer is a SNDA65, but changed to a Timefactors NATO strap.

I'd just buy a suitable watch regardless of strap, and then put a different strap on it of your choice, unless you happen to find an all in one solution. Mind you if you buy a decent watch the retailer should be able to sort out a well fitting strap without having to resort to a cheapy pound shop Velcro strap?

What he ^^^ said. MWC G10 seems an obvious choice. Tough (military issue), not too pricey, looks OK.

If you have a bigger budget, the CWC G10's are better.

I have a MWC G10 its okay but nothing special at all. Their military background doesn't stand upto scrutiny if that matters? The battery has died on mine but ihavnt bothered changing/wearing it. Buy Seiko instead

If you have a bit of cash a genuine CWC G10 and a perlon strap, or if on more of a budget a Timex expedition(various styles available) and a perlon strap.

The beauty of the perlon strap is its a woven/braided type material with no actual holes punched in it you just push the pin of the buckle through wherever you want to size it.

This is a Seiko diver on a Perlon,

spot on there. I had the P6508 but got it with a Yellow background and canvas strap with velcro, brilliant to see at a glance (they are quite good at making them bespoke to what you want if you ask nicely). It lasted me very well in hot dusty places until it was stolen in a break in 🙁 it took a few big hits in it's time right on the glass (saphire crystal) but not even a scratch.

got it replaced with a Commander 100 engraved for more dressy type duties.

edit - jeez, prices have gone up, just looked at the website... 8)

Those trasers used to be proper kit, they look like chinese specials now. I'd sooner have a nite. You can get the icon automatic for around those prices;
