I found some out of date ale. Apart from killing slugs what else can you do with it?

I remember reading about a champion pumpkin grower who used to feed his pumpkins beer.
Make a slug pub. Put tuna tins or small plastic containers filled with beer next to your favourite plants, the slugs go for a tipple and end up drowning a happy death rather than eating your plants.
Edit: maybe i should have read the OP a bit better before typing that.
Further edit: can marinade steak in beer, or soak your feet in it, or make steak and ale pie.

My Dad used to run a chip shop; he used to swear by putting old beer in the batter mix.
No idea how much or what the recipe was though, and he's sadly not around to ask.

Depends on the beer, anything strong and malty will get better with age, weaker, hoppier, or filtered/clear will only go downhill.
