I was criticised last night whilst out shopping for spending too much money when I'm supposed to be saving.
I spent
£21.04 on 2 pairs of shorts and 2 t-shirts form TKmaxx for the gym
£30 on 2 pairs of trousers from M&S
£7.99 on a pair of flip flops
She chose a £55 pair of shoes she will wear once or possibly twice, she has easily 50+ pairs of shoes, yet wears the same pair of hideous primark flip flops every day! She didn't even seem particulaly happy to have aquired new shoes.
So no, girlfriends oppinion on anything I do is now ignored.
Don't worry spoon she'll sense soon, no young girl in their right mind goes out with a guy who buys trousers from M&S.

Its official, Girls are [s]mental[/s] different.
Work trousers, they get chucked in the bottom of my panniers, put on a t work, worn for 3 days and washed.
I had some expensive pairs, but they slowly got ruined by the dry cleaners, oil on them, or ruined for some other reason.
'tis true, she winges that she cant keep up with her mortgage and has credit cards up to her ears. But says she can't have a lodger as that would mean she'd have to find somewhere to put her stuff thats currently filling the second bedroom (there's a fitted wardrobe covering one wall of the master bedroom thats full of her stuff as well).
Ohh and the re-decorating never ends. The kitchen apparently is done, if you ignore the tuble dryer in the middle of the room, and boxes of stuff everywhere.
And the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms apparently need re-doing even though they don't look like they've been slept in! And the time might be better spent fixing the laminate flooring that finishes about 1" form the skirting board in the hallway!
Home improvement shows and credit card adverts have a lot to answer for.

No, she did. She decided to have a 'cull', so had a count. I think she threw away 20 pairs or more.
At the time, I think I was down to 5 pairs of pants. One for every week of the month, and a spare pair! 😀

But unless it really matters just nod and smile and then get on with your own damn life.
On the other hand if it starts to negativly impinge on you to the point of tears of frustration in the shower and a general feeling of bleak emptyness and a loss of self identity (to take an example entirley at random)
Then neck a bottle of wine at freinds B'day and then let it all out when you get home but just use the names of people at the party to describe your own situation implying it's their story and see how long it takes for her to figure out it was your life you were describing.

C-G is right about the underwear thing! Is your girlf jealous that maybe you can afford to spend some money on clothes and bits? Sounds like she needs a reality check if she's doing stuff like that! Plus if you don't like her flip flops tell her!! I would expect Mr MC to tell me he doesn't like something I'm wearing!! But I have figured over the years I'm not a "normal" girl .......
