How do I see what's on my ipad 2 on the telly? I can see photos and hear the music.
People talk about airplay icons and apps ,I can't find either.
Please keep it simple.
Ps it's the latest box and current updates.

If your ipad is up to date as well and you have an app that is airplay compatible then when you are playing the content look for an icon that is a rectangle with a triangle at the bottom.
Tap that and select the apple tv that is showing. Both devices need to be on the same network and able to communicate.

Also, as well as just sharing whatever movie you're watching, you can mirror the whole display, double tap home button, slide icons to the right and select airplay icon from there.
