Anyone use iCal and can explain what I'm doing wrong?
I write an appointment at work on Outlook and it spans three days. I tick the all day box. I include my home address as an invite.

I pick that mail up at home and the invite shows in iCal. In the monthly view though, it only shows as a one day event. However, iCal then syncs with my android phone which has no issue recognising it as a three day event.

What is the mac being so crap with this? Is there a setting I've missed or is the imac not as all powerful as I was lead to believe?

What does the behaviour of one piece of software have to do with how 'powerful' you computer is?
I don't know why iCal isn't doing what you expect, but if it helps, I use google calendar via a browser in preference to iCal anyway...

Not powerful as in the processor, "all powerful" as in "all hail the mighty Mac".
