I am considering buying a studio apartment in france for winter/summer and letting also. Im only after a studio apartment. Any good places to look which are good for price, any decent websites to look at places or is it better to see what they have on offer (im going to chatel in feb). Any owners on here who can provide any details on how they get on with owning and letting.

As I mentioned in that other thread. Don't expect to make any money out of it, and the french love taxes and admin. If you buy a tiny studio miles from a lift don't expect a long queue of people wanting to rent it. As long as you want it to get lots of use yourself then great.
