[#700020]

A distinct lack of chatter on the forum about The Ashes... why's that then?

ah, but the press/public/cricketers were so confident and cocky on the the morning of Day 2... my how we have crushed the English spirit into the Welsh soil 😀

We'll be aiming for 300+ this afternoon, you just watch Haddin & North tee off now they both have hundreds 😀 then it's 30 odd overs to take some wickets tonight before winding up proceedings tomorrow 😆

it's very dull. England wasting time and the Portaroos seeming content to just bat and bat.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a lot more interesting.

England aren't wasting time, they simply have nothing to turn to... and yes, we're happy to bat and build an insurmountable 1st innings lead, this is all about humiliation now, maximum psychological damage for the rest of the series 😈

this won't be a draw mate... we'll roll you fools for less than 200, I can't see England finding some spine to bat this out...

Haddin and North are going to "tee off?" Are you sure about that? I don't know much about sport but that sounds wrong.

fewer. and it takes some serious delusion to think that aussie attack could get 20 wickets.

by the way. 'we'? You writing this in the dressing room, presumably?

we bowled you out in the first innings guv'ner... and the pitch is two paced now and turning, plus we actually know how to swing the ball...

'tee off' being an Aussie colloquial for 'hit the ball to all corners of the ground'

nope... but being an Aussie, I feel a personal connection with my team, hence the we... sorry if it causes consternation 😀

btw, used to play against Mitchell Johnson back in the day, always knew he'd go on to better things (though I did hit him for a few runs at times 😀 )

He he he, the tactic of playing a test in Wales reveals its merit. I'm thinking we should go for more tests there in 2013 😉

Only idiots don't pray for rain when you're 4 down, 80 overs to go and your only specialist batsman is padding it away!

LOL! Don't be too quick to throw your money away. Probably best to remember that they managed to take 19 wickets, whilst we took 6....

I've a feeling that Monty won't be playing at Lords. And let's face it, he's no 12th man 🙂
