Sunday 3 Nov

I'm too ill to go, I have the e-tickets here to send.

They are a great live band, playing at the Institute in Digbeth, I think Panic Shack as support.

Would be a shame to waste them, so if anyone fancies them (perhaps make a small donation to STW) then please let me know.

Can't believe no-one has bitten your arm off! If it were in Newcastle, I would have done.

Ha! Exactly what happened to me a couple of weeks ago with the High Llamas at Hare and Hounds on a Sunday night. No takers for that and I can't go tonight because I'm feeding 9 of the family at home.

And as an aside, I put my tickets on here for free partly because many years ago we got to see Turin Brakes thanks to Rob Fisk aka Merlinman not being able to go.

If this was the early 90s when I was living in Brum and the Institute had literally just opened as a new venue then I would  also have grabbed them…but sadly I’m in Brighton now!

Glad to see the Institute is still going though. Remember seeing Jane’s Addiction there back in the day!

Not arguing with that but Bob Vylan are great to see live (saw them in Brighton a week or so ago but Birmingham is a little too far for me)

I'm gutted I can't go. Saw them a couple of months ago, the 'yoga' intro gets the crowd going...

(My wife is also gutted she's not going, but I suspect she likes the band for very different reasons ?)

Yeah, the album was just out and BCS plus Had a Dad were being played in every student disco!

Expensive gig....
