Why do they insist on starting races later in these countries with tropical climates - TV schedules are in real danger of denying us a full race whenever they go to the far east......

Was hoping to catch this in the afternoon... not sure if I can justify to SWMBO 2 hours of watching rain drying.

First time in korea

First time the f1 thread has hit 3 pages before the racing starts.

First time i've ever wanted the rain to stop in an f1 race!

I think Martin's right. Whats the point in having a full wet tyre if they're not going to use them????

only slightly more of a procession than normal and I so hope the excitment of the pit stop still affects the race outcome ...Gripping stuff as always

This is ****ing ridiculous!!!

For what good its worth the FIA will be getting an email from me later on. As Brundle says what the point of developing and bringing full wets if they're not going to use them.

This is stupid, get the safety car in for Gods sake. These blokes get millions to drive, surely they can handle a wet track?

At least it's probably gonna be awesome when they do start. Hamilton for the win if he keeps it on the blacktop

Definately seems to be getting slightly darker

Not much room for error then! Webber looked like he'd recover it until he got onto that astroturf!

Rosberg was looking confident, so that's a shame.

Legard as Rosberg appears on screen, with his name displayed prominently
"And there's Lewis Hamilton".

SACK HIM NOW.

+1 - Just need Vettel to fall off now.

To me this highlights the difference between McLaren and Red Bull . . . Red Bull are an exercise in marketing and will do anything to see their guys win and sod the fans, whereas McLaren are a proper racing team who's sole existance is to race.

Legard: "WIth Sutil making that move he lost a place"
Brundle: "But he didn't, as he simply rejoined"

I got bored waiting and took the dog for a walk. Have I missed anything?
While out I remembered there is a stretch of road I use that doesn't kick up spray. The regular surface is horrendous in the rain, but there is one section of 4-5km with nothing. Why can't they improve the surface with all the money in F1??

Worked out well for hamilton. Would have liked to see him have a go at alonso, but I doubt he'd of played fair and given him space to pass had the situation arose.

Surpirse ,surprise - we go past the 42 laps for full points and all of a sudden Vettel can't see properly because of the bad light!

I wouldn't be too sure... From the BBC.

Lap 51: "I'm more confident now than I was before this race that I'm going to win this world championship," said Fernando Alonso after the British Grand Prix on 11 July, when he was 47 points adrift of the lead. That kind of belief is inherent. It cannot be taught. He's a very steely character, the Spaniard. Hamilton now 2.8 seconds behind Ferrari's race leader. We are going to get the full race distance.

Spoilt child came first disappointingly... Massa's face said a lot on the podium too. Wonder if he will change teams for 2011... probably realises now that he is confirmed, like Brarachello was, as a professional number 2...

I understand Buttons brakes weren't working properly, and his tyres were pretty much done.

Alonso did well in shite conditions. Good win.
