Before I go to an actual shop. The sizing guide seems weird, small is 38-40? Is that how they fit in the real life's? I'm usually a medium in everything:/

I'm large in ME kit and large in everything else. Sizing seems spot on and the kit is bombproof.

I'd say it's pretty much true to size. I reckon you'll be a medium. I'm around a 38" chest with wide-isn shoulders and a medium in ME is right for me and pretty much every other outdoor brand I've tried.

Many thanks for the feed back, albeit I'm further confused! I'm a 40 chest, so medium therefore a small! 🙂 Their online sizing chart is bonkers!

Medium for me and I'm Medium in almost everything else too. The only odd size brand I've really come across is Mountain Hardware where everything seems a bit big. I'm guessing your average American is a bit larger than your average Euro

My ME waterproof is a little neat on, and its an xxl, useable but could do with a little bigger. I am a human ape though lol

+1

Their cheap over trousers outlasted all the others (bar Patagonia) that we issued to staff at the outdoor centre.
Their fleeces were also standard issue kit.
But I never paid RRP. 😉

All ME stuff is pretty spot on. Am an XL in jackets an theirs are perfect. Which is more than can be said for Rab...

They have different cuts for different garments. I'm generally a medium in their stuff but they have some Alpine (I think) cut garments which are quite different. Very narrow on the torso, but long on the arm.

I find their sizes normal too. If we're bragging Matt - I reckon I paid less than you for my ME kit. 😉

You'll feel snug in climbing focused gear at the same size. It may feel slightly too small initially, but they're really well thought out. Even with a harness on and a hood up over my helmet, my movement isn't restricted in any way, it's all designed for movement.

If you're going to an actual shop you'll know soon enough 😉

Great gear BTW. I sized up in the shell jackets, but usually do.

ME sizing is accurate. I take XL in ME, Rab, TNF etc. Occasionally you get differences if the item is specifically designed to either be close fitting, or unsized to fit over other layers.

Yeah, the shell jackets come in 'alpine' or 'mountain' cut. Alpine's quite athletic, 'mountain' is more all-rounder orientated with enough space for thicker mid-layers or a thicker mid layer... Coincidentally I know someone who works there, I'l ask them what gives with the sizing chart. It could just be a simple error.

Found ME kit to be very durable. Have some kit that is almost 15 years old, had lots of use, and has lasted very well. Not cheap, but fairly middle of the road, price wise. Overpriced? Maybe compared to mountain warehouse crap, but you pretty much get what you pay for.
