I'm trying to find somewhere to park my car for the FA cup semi on Sunday. Been on 'Parkmycar' but as yet nobody has come back to me. So, if anyone has space on their drive and wants to make a few quid... let me know!

Allocated as a Stoke pub so probably better not. Cheers though.

Wolverhampton. Train in.

Seriously. Unless you plan to be in London the night before. If something goes wrong round that area, and there's an accident or something, you could end up stuck in a jaym for hours and miss the match.

Marathon & fussball on Sunday? There'll be little parking I'd have thought available anywhere.
Well, I shall be in the Chilterns marshalling a road race.

Cheeze I forgot all about the Marathon.

Yeah, that suddenly makes things a whole lot more disaster-prone. All you need is a pile-up somewhere, and the whole system can grind to a halt. I remember being stuck on the slip off the M1 onto the M25 once, cos a roadworking lorry had gone kaput or something

Four and a half hours. In exactly the same spot.

Worst of all, had the driver listened to me and continued down along the M1 into town, we'd've bin ok.

I don't think he appreciated the 'told you so' comments.

Not after the eighty-fourth time, anyway... 😆

Where are you coming from?

I'd just drive to Stanmore Station (on the end of the Jubilee line). There's a 450 space car park & you can get the Jubilee line straight to Wembley Park Station right near the stadium.

It means after the game you don't get stuck in all the traffic jams that occur when everyone tries to leave.

Right near the M1, A1 & M25 too so pretty easy to get to.

Unless you find a guaranteed parking spot before you head off then park out a bit and get the underground in, it's what pretty much everyone does for Wembley since the redevelopment. What line you get all depends on where you're coming in from but if using the M40 then I'd get the metropolitan line from Ickenham, plenty of parking and pubs. Or if you just wanted to park and get the train (without pub) then go from Hillingdon which has a pretty big car park attached but not much else.

Parking now sorted. Thanks to all. Now all I have to worry about is traffic hell...
