Following on from this thread I listened to End of Days on Binners recommendation.

https://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/what-good-fun-interesting-podcasts/

This led to me looking at other more informative podcasts and I ended up listening to Season 1 of Serial.

Has anyone listened to it?

I genuinely cant make up my mind if he is innocent or not. There are such gaping holes in the story and why would Jay make up the whole story if she was killed by a serial killer and also know where the car is!

I listened to it, was a few years ago now though, Jay was the kind of witness I wouldn't trust IIRC.

Very good listen though.

Yes, it's incredible. There have been some recent developments as well. Google the person in question's name as I don't want to get anywhere near spoilers.
If you like that, try S-Town. It's possibly my favourite thing I've ever listened to, and I'm still not sure what to think about the approach.

FWIW, s2 of Serial did nothing for me. YMMV.

I have googled it and seen the latest developments. So what do you think innocent or guilty?

Thanks for the recommendation for S-Town. Will get that on this afternoon whilst updating some CAD drawings!

I would agree about S2 of Serial - it isn't capturing my attention in the same way. I am up to Episode 3 but going to give S-Town a try instead.

Not strictly serial but I do enjoy Last Podcast on the Left. Usually their subjects go over 2 or 3 episodes.

Jon Ronsons "The Butterfly Effect" was interesting, it was about the Porn industry and how it's been affected by streaming sites

Submarined - I 2nd your recommendation for S-Town, really fascinating story about that fella and plenty of turns that you don't expect. Listened to it a lot whilst driving.

If you like true crime then have a listen to The Teacher's Pet as well, it was produced by The Australian newspaper and covers a murder that happened in Australia in the 80s. Teacher has affair with student and kill's off his wife but he was never charged with it.

I'll try that, thanks! I'll throw in Dr Death as well, it'll have you slack jawed in disbelief and shouting at your phone.
