Younger's could be anywhere in the North though. Weren't they bought out by S&N sometime in the early 90s?
It won't be Scotland at that time, I think maybe the Peak District, but Google images doesn't help me there...
Of course, its name may have changed at some point...

That's impressive pub sleuthing. Did you just remember that it must have been Eyam, or was it a massive street view session?
Bit of both. Thought it was Eyam, but searching for a pub that I think may have closed before Google was popular, is not easy. I did a tour of a couple of villages on streetview.
If I remember rightly, we got dropped off here, did a night hike to Bakewell after closing time, then got the Trans-Peak 252 back to Manchester in the morning. Maybe.
