My O2 has been dire since the weekend.... weirdly it streams video fine... but stuff like ebay/amazon is constantly timing out.
We are miles from you but I wonder if there is some bigger network tuning going on as they all go through the same exchanges and share the same boxes on the street level.

@stevextc Virgin don't share there network with anybody, although they do use BT, Voda etc for the backhaul!
neighbour having vigin media instaled today 2 blokes experiencing serious difficulties in getting a signal line to their exchange by the sound of their numerous loud phone calls
